Advantidge ID Card Printing Tip: How To Keep ID Cards From Sticking Due To Static ElectricityDepending on the climate you live in, dry air may be causing your ID card printer to behave improperly. A static charge can build up in a pile of ID cards as you print, resulting in frequent printer jams as cards are pulled into the machine. If this is happening, the best thing to do is plan ahead. It might mean having to reload the ID card printer more often, but loading a smaller number of ID cards into the feeder at a time, perhaps 20 to 30 cards at a time, will stop that electrical charge from having a chance to build up.

Remember to fan each pile of ID cards before you load them into the ID card printer feeder, in order to dissipate any static electricity charge which may be present. Following these tips should result in a much smoother printing operation of your ID card system!
