Zebra’s New ZBR-PS300 Brings Encoding-over-Ethernet Capability to the ZXP Series 8™

Your ZXP Series 8 retransfer ID card printer not only can print ID cards remotely using the Ethernet, but with Zebra’s compact, external ZBR-PS300 Ethernet-to-USB Device Server you can have the freedom and flexibility of remotely encoding your contactless and contact smart cards! The ZBR-PS300 incorporates Zebra’s proprietary firmware and ZMotif™ SDK software to facilitate a very fast connection between the ZXP Series 8 ID card printer and your Ethernet; simply plug the device server into the printer’s USB port.

For ID card applications that require photo-like images, fast print speeds, easy system integration tools and a modular design with a variety of encoding options, the ZXP Series 8 is your best choice for retransfer ID card printing.

The ZBR-PS300, coupled with the ZXP Series 8 retransfer printer, offers several benefits:

  • Increased capability—Enables encoding of contactless and contact smart cards using Ethernet connectivity*
  • Improved efficiency—Ethernet networking allows multiple users to share a single ID card printer/encoder locally or remotely
  • Increased security—Print jobs can be sent remotely to an ID card printer located in a secure room or facility, reducing theft

Markets and Applications:

  • Financial—Bank credit/ATM/debit cards, prepaid cash cards

  • Retail—Gift and loyalty cards; ID/access control; cash cards for gaming, cruise lines, entertainment
  • Education—Combination cards (identification cards that also enable debit/cashless vending and access control)

*Note: The ZBR-PS300 must be used in conjunction with the provided ZMotif SDK and integrated into a target application to provide printing and encoding-over-Ethernet functionality.
