HID Global’s Fargo DTC550 Single-Sided ID Card System produces all types of identification cards, such as photo IDs, proximity ID cards, and sophisticated smartcards, and its flexible design allows for the easy reconfiguration of the system as your ID card printing needs change.

With its high-security profile and network accessibility, HID Global’s Fargo DTC550 ID Card printer is designed to please both IT and security. With HID Global Fargo’s optional print security software, printers stay protected from unauthorized use, anywhere on a LAN while remaining available to all authorized users. Security is built into the HID Global Fargo DTC550’s password protection text and email messaging, which instantly alert key personnel whenever unauthorized access is attempted. With optional networking capabilities, the HID Global Fargo DTC550 can support secure ID Card issuances throughout your organization.

HID Global Fargo’s easy-to-read SmartScreen™ LCD Control Panel offers convenient navigation through printer functions, and allows you to check maintenance status while receiving up-to-date information about print operations. Continuous printing is possible with the DTC550, as incomplete and incorrectly printed ID cards are sent directly to a reject card hopper. Multiple users at remote locations can have easy access to secure ID card issuance with the DTC550’s optional Ethernet port, and internal print server, which serve to make this the ideal ID card printer for any large enterprise.

Compatible with your Windows© PC, the DTC550 allows a seamless integration with your network through a USB port, and its modular design allows upgrading at any time. Adding an encoding module will enable the creation of a wide range of secure card types, including customer loyalty cards, magnetic name badges, and smart cards with embedded electronics.

Able to work as a stand-alone application. Able to work as a TWAIN driver for Canon and Olympus cameras. Camera settings can be controlled from your computer, including focus, exposure, mode, image, image preview, image rotation, time lapse capture, and image save/image export.
