PR-C201

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Available August 2012!

Nisca’s new PR-C201 ID card printer features retransfer printing technology that allows you to create ID badges in full color with full bleed images in brilliant true color. The retransfer process uses dye sublimation to print a high-resolution image in reverse directly onto the film base. The ID card printer then thermally transfers the image and film onto the ID card surface through heat and pressure, thermally bonding it to the card surface for a more secure ID card.

The new PR-C201 offers industry-leading 24-bit continuous tone single and dual-sided printing, quick change ribbon cassette, USB and Ethernet 10 Base-T, 100 Base-T, 2-year return to depot service printer warranty*, limited lifetime print head warranty*, 600 dpi, 24-bit color and high speed ID card printing of over 160 cards/hour! Retransfer ID Card Printers

Monday, March 12th, 2012

Retransfer ID card printing, also known as High-Definition printing is a superior printing technology, which prints images and text onto a retransfer film that bonds thermally to ID cards, creating superior image quality with true over-the-edge printing for better looking cards that have more area to print on.

Retransfer printing provides the ability to print on cards with embedded electronics and uneven card surfaces such as on smart cards, as well as on cards with small blemishes and a wider variety of ID cards including non-PVC, with more durable images that are tamper proof due to the built-in secure effect of printing with retransfer films.

HDP8500 Industrial Card Printer

Wednesday, November 16th, 2011

With the new FARGO® HDP8500 Industrial ID Card Printer/Encoder, Advantidge will soon deliver the most reliable, high duty performance ID card printer in the industry! (Q2 2012)

The HDP8500 features High Definition Printing (HDP®) technology, making it the superior industrial ID card printer for extended-run, high throughput credential ID card personalization and issuance and it’s especially suited for the high duty cycle requirements of large government ID card programs, laborious service bureau conditions and demanding university and large enterprise environments.

The HDP8500 has been designed for networking and can issue ID cards from multiple sites, centrally and remotely and with an Ethernet port and internal print server the HDP8500 can be securely networked to produce high volumes of ID cards in continuous batch runs, sharing one or more common or centrally managed databases. The system can encode one card while printing a second card and laminating a third and offers two additional print modes to the standard print mode in order to meet your needs. Performance mode provides the fastest throughput speed of 1,200 full-color (YMC) single-side cards in an 8 hour work cycle. While Premium mode provides enhanced print quality for challenging images with the finest detail previously not possible by other HDP printers.

The FARGO HDP8500 uses HDP technology to print a dye-sublimation image onto an intermediate transfer film that is then retransferred onto the card surface. This flexible technology works with a wider choice of card materials, is more resistant to identity adulteration and attack, and is the optimal choice for smart card printing or any other type of technology card because it easily handles surface or embedded electronics irregularities.

The FARGO HDP8500 ID card printer is also designed to safeguard against the most challenging operating environments. Its airflow and filtration system, canopy dust seals and internal temperature sensors maintain ideal printing conditions in the harshest conditions. This limits dust from settling inside printer and blows it out which limits downtime from typical card printer servicing. Multiple in-line cleaning stations eliminate unexpected blank card surface debris and a special cover protecting the card path sensors help to prevent defective card prints and printer jams. Powerful stepper motors provide improved card handling over long print shifts and the printer’s gearbox design, metal shaft spindle components and supply cartridges ensure reliable consumable materials handling.

The FARGO HDP8500 has physical locks on all access points to protect the Fargo printer ribbon and film consumables, as well as the cards, before and after printing and it offers secure PIN access to electronically lock the printer from accepting illegal print jobs. It uses advanced encryption standard (AES) 256 to protect electronic data and a resin-erase feature can be used to eliminate personal data on used ribbon panels. The HDP8500 offers secure printing and laminating using UV printing with fluorescing (F) panel ribbons, holographic retransfer films, and holographic thin films and overlaminates to provide up to three levels of security: overt, covert and forensic.

*HID Global’s Fargo DTC4000 has received an ID card printer energy star® rating for energy-efficiency as a solution that supports corporate green initiatives and helps organizations reduce costs!*

The DTC4000 replaces HID Global’s Fargo DTC400e ID card printer, and has been designed for medium-sized businesses, schools and local government institutions seeking versatility in a convenient, professional and secure ID card printer/encoder system, with a flexible, easy and reliable way to color personalize and encode smartcard technology cards. Features the industry’s first inline card printing and technology card encoding with one connection, using USB or optional Ethernet connectivity.

The optional dual-sided printing module provides additional card space for printing duplicate photos and digital-signatures from a signature capture device, and the optional same-side input/output card hopper and movable SmartScreen™ display helps fit the DTC4000 into the tightest spaces. Increase card printing capacity with a dual-input card hopper, which holds 200 cards for higher capacity printing and encoding, and optional Ethernet connectivity allows for remote printer sharing by multiple users.

Choose from optional technology encoding modules to encode data for magnetic stripe, proximity, contact and/or contactless technology cards, such as iCLASS®, for access control or other applications. The erase and rewrite eco-friendly feature makes the DTC4000 ideal for creating temporary ID cards. Fully compatible with Asure ID® card personalization software for ID badge design, database management and technology card encoding.
