Advantidge Supports Veterans Administration on 500+ Fargo HDP5000 ID Card Printers

Advantidge has won a contract to support the National Veterans Administration (VA) with their more than 500 HID Global Fargo HDP5000 ID card printers at national and international VA ID card credentialing centers.
The Veterans Administration adheres to the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) PIV ID badge processing regulations, implemented by President George W. Bush Aug. 27, 2004,
requiring the development of a secure interagency personal identity verification process for federal employees and contractors.
PIV ID cards are compliant with FIPS 201 standards and have certain required elements that must appear on the front and back of cards, such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) digital certificates and biometric smart card features.
PIV ID cards are used at all VA facilities, and in addressing the high volume of ID card printing required by the enormous quantity of VA members, the Veterans Administration relies on HID Global Fargo’s trusted HDP5000 ID card printers for the printing of their secure HSPD-12 PIV VA member ID Badges.
