In July 2007, Fargo announced a Two Year Warranty including First Year with On-Call Express Loaner Printer Service included on all new HDP5000, DTC550 and DTC400 printers purchased. These professional series printers come with the industry’s top name for quality, plus double the warranty coverage to insure your longterm cost of ownership stays fixed. All other models from Fargo will continue with the original manufacturer’s warranty including the HDP600 and C30 card printers.

Zebra Card announced that it is offering a two year warranty on all Value and Performance class printers including the P110i, P120i, P330i, P430i and P520i. This new warranty period is eligible retroactively to all new printers sold in North America and Latin America, beginning January 1, 2007. In addition to extending the warranty to two years, Zebra is now adding the Value class printers to the free first year of Hot Swap Service program. The following printers will continue to be sold with their original manufacturers warranty, P310i, P420i, P630i and P640i. 

Evolis has extended the warranty for its Pebble 4 and Dualys 3 color printers by one whole year to a total of three years. The new warranty is applicable since the official market launch of the new line of color printers in June 2007. It covers all components of Pebble 4 and Dualys 3 printers, including the printhead, and for an unlimited number of printouts assuming the user has completed cleaning at the required cycles as prompted. All other Evolis models will continue to be sold with the original manufacturer’s warranty including the Tattoo, Quantum and previous generation Pebble and Dualys printers.

Magicard upgraded to a three year warranty on all Professional Series products including the Rio2 and Tango2 series.  This warranty includes free loaner service for 3 years and also covers the printhead for 3 years of unlimited passes assuming proper maintenance has been completed. The new UltraCoverPlus provides the industry’s most complete extended coverage and is in effect for new purchases made on or after July 1, 2007 for all covered printers.
